Hey Forum Members:

I hope everyone had a great time at York last week.  I'm contemplating adding on another subway set onto my layout while I'm in the planning stage and my question pertains to the dimensions of Lionel Subway Cars.  I have both the QJ (Red) and E (Silver & Blue) sets, they presently are way under my train table and would require a herculean attempt at this present time to get them out to gather info on the dimensions.  I'm probably going to have go purchase an MTH subway set  because Lionel doesn't appear to be planning any sets soon.  I have the dimensions of MTH subway cars (13 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3 3/8") but I can't recall the measurements of Lionel's cars.  Does anyone by chance have this info ?  It would be appreciated.  I don't want to purchase any cars that would be smaller in size to the two sets that I have.  Thanks

Thanks BLUELINEC4, I had come upon the same info about the 4 car set being 60", and did the math per car.  Now I just got to fully recover from York and decide which set to purchase.  I guess that close approximations between the 3 sets of trains won't appear greatly different, so I just gotta get a set.  Thanks for the reply, I just happen to be skimming thru the forum and decided to see if anyone had replied to my posts and saw your response, Thanks again, I appreciate it.  MARSHELANGELO
