IMG_2506you all are so talented and I am at the other end as a beginner! I have been working on a see thru elevator for a passenger train station the tracks are below the stations platform and so is a 2 level affair. I had to create my own elevator doorways and it took 4 tries before settling on this one.

working with both clear non glare plastic white polystyrene sheet and thin brass sheet stock is and was a challenge but I think a better result would have been using the polystyrene entirely for the doorways?

I also learned that styrene sheet is like paper is in printing it has a long and short grain to it as when I glued the wood planking to the styrene it warped but used a blow dryer on high heat and a really heavy box with mr riveter inside flattened that out! lesson learned I hope!

the elevator shaft itself took 3 tries as the first 2 had clear panels to long and after gluing I tried sawing them and crackkkk they went so last time as in wood working I sat down and drew a diagram with all the correct measurements and still I had to use a Dremel on upper station platform area of elevator as floor was still 1/16" to high but I got it fixed.
