Sunset-3rd Rail announced the GE P42 Genesis in multiple paint schemes.  He announced Amtrak Phases I, II,III,IV,V,VI, plus NH, VIA BLUE, NJT and Metro North.  I see the heritage paint schemes but not the 50th Anniversary schemes.

I would order the Dark Blue 50th and the 50th Anniversary Pepsi schemes first.

Get those reservations in!!!

Yep it’s all about reservation #s.
There IS a LOT of excitement right now with the recent Viewliner and Amfleet product deliveries. Enough excitement to create a groundswell of “demand” that translated to an almost Immediate run 2 offering of the Viewliner and Amfleet Plus Superliners PLUS P42s.
Talks cheap though. Bring on the reservations. If the numbers quickly swell to that “magic” number, it’ll move up in the Q. I think there’s a desire for more quality Amtrak products. I Won’t be surprised to see these products happen sooner than later. We will see. 😬

Cheers

I put in for a 5 car super liner set in phase 3, waiting on the phase photos and sdp40f reservations

I hope Scott M allows more Superliner5 car sets on the reservation form. Limiting a persion to two sets [ 1-5car, and 5 individual cars] is a bit rediculous. I'm in for a possible phase 2 and phase 3 Superliner sets but am considering a phase4 as well!

I have no idea what a phase 1, 5, & 6 superliner set would look like either.

Just send another reservation form with the additional set(s)

I have a question...I made a reservation yesterday.  it is my first order from Scott and I am very much looking forward to it.  While I did get a thank you on the web page when I made my reservation, I did not get any kind of confirmation email.  Is that normal, being my first order I wasn't sure how it works.

Thanks!

Sometimes it takes a few days.  I believe Shani is in the office every other weekday and sends confirmations out.

If you have questions about what reservations you have made and what their records show just email them and they will send you all the reservations they have on file for you.  I've had to do that several times over the years to know what I did and didn't reserve.  They are always super nice about it.

I just put my order in for a 5 car Superliner set with an add on coach and sleeper in Phase III.  I am considering adding a set in Phase VI as well as I plan on getting a pair of P42s.  Decisions, decisions!

After visiting the site I see the concerns on the reservation page.  I will send a note to Scott after work letting him know to take down Phase I, and Phase V paint schemes.  Amtrak does not officially recognize Phase IVb and calls the slightly lighter shade of dark blue with the Travelmark logo Phase VI in all of their documentation.  Phase IVb is a modeler's construct.

For those who have placed orders, Shani will get back to you with a confirmation email and a PDF that shows your reservation.

Exciting times!

Thank you! Another concern I had with the reservation page was that the P42 phase 3 is listed as a heritage scheme. I would like the as delivered phase 3 scheme (as shown in main photo on the website) not the phase 3 heritage scheme. I put a note in my reservation about it but thought I would mention it here too as there are likely others in the same boat. Again, thank you for this incredible offering!!! Very excited!

That is the next project.   I promised Scott I would get him info on the various iterations of the P42 schemes.  Expect the reservations page to have some updates there as well.  We got ahead of ourselves in all the excitement to offer these new projects.
