This is from the first run of UP Challengers that Sunset 3rd rail released around 1995. It is basically brand new. It was test run when I bought it new from the hobby shop where I'd ordered it. They wanted to make sure it was OK. It has been stored in a closet since then, and always in a smoke free home.
I opened it again a couple weeks ago to make sure it still runs, and it does. It will need to be lubricated. It runs very smoothly. It does need wide radius curves, the tender more so than the engine. This is the 2 rail engine.
Note this is the early version that does not have smoke or sound. It is in the original box and shipping box. The smoke deflectors and a few other parts are included. I never opened those. It is a really nice engine.
