Do all the cars come in separate boxes or are they 4 each in two boxes and separate boxes for the Dome and RPO?

All of the cars come in separate boxes.  The individual boxes making up the 8 car set also came in a single large shipping box with its own label identifying the contents.  The Superdome and the extra 10/6 sleeper just came in their normal individual blue and yellow Golden Gate Depot boxes.

Marslight & Super-Marslight Simulators

The Marslight modules (N8031/A) produce a highly realistic Mars effect which is very eye-catching. Output intensity varies from dim to full-bright through a triple-pulse timed to imitate side (reflective) shine as well as frontal shine of the oscillating Mars pattern.

The N8031A version of this module is configured with an additional output for an optional headlight. See Connecting in More Info to the right.

The N8031B Super-Marslight Simulator provides output for 3 LEDs to create the visual effect of an actual moving Marslight. See the video of effects in More Info above.

--->  The N8031C version is for a Marslight with red LED. <-----

will that work?

The back end of the Skytop is ABS plastic. The window inserts are a mixture of plastic and CNC poly carbonite. The back assembly fits inside the aluminum extrusion portion of the car. I don't have parts of cars. Am considering a second run of these sets. Let me know if your interested.

Would order at least a full set in UP colors.

Hmmm. Possible Milwaukee Road second run. Sounds like more reservations than available units produced. I guess it Could Be strike while the irons hot or does it get in Q behind second run Daylight, Broadway, and 20th Century, or do absolute numbers push any one to top of the heap. They are ALL beautiful !!! However, what about offering the Mlk. Rd. in the O 42 size? Might be nice selling another 50 full scale sets but what if offering O42 brings in those shut out because of size and O42 gets a Bunch of reservations ???? Say 150.  Just thinking out loud........................

what do you think Scott

And my Missouri Pacific / Texas & Pacific Eagle set becomes ever more remote.

TrainBub,

I like your thinking... But the factory can switch on production of the full size easily and quickly, already talking about tagging them on to the SF Super Chief 1938 production later this year. Any changes to design would take time, add cost, inject uncertainty in production that would require more supervision, which is difficult right now for obvious reasons. I think we will stick with our full scale offering for now with limited numbers. Sometimes it's better to keep things under control (KISS) than to maximize orders. JMHO.
