Been trying to get this piece working for a while now, with a little success but still have a problem.

The man on the steps will not descend, he is cleaned , not oiled , do not understand why it will not simply slide down the steps.  I have installed a new string and an eyelet for the string that connects to the "man on the stairs"

Fastrack is used and I am using track power. Have read that track power should not be used and

have also read that fastrack  with insulated track will work.

Comments appreciated.

The largest contact is sliding between the building and the side of the stairway, make sure that the side of the stair is clean and smooth.  You can use a drop of PFTE or graphite on the side of the stair.  Also, make sure that the metal slide that the man is attached to does not have too much play that might allow it to get out of line and bind.
