I recently had the pleasure of attending one of Hudson River rail excursions trips From Penn Station in New York City up to Albany and back. Basically they attach two classic New York Central cars to the back of a regularly scheduled Amtrak Empire service train. The cars are the number 43 Tavern lounge, a Budd built car from 1947, and the famous Hickory Creek observation. Here are a few photos, followed by a video of my humble attempts at a recreation on my layout!
