Hi All,

I would love to put together a 1950's era military train and, specifically, well detailed tanks.

I would also like the additional vehicles, jeeps, troop transport trucks (I forget the name),

ambulances, etc.

I am preparing to honor my wife's late father who was a hero in World War II.

Could someone direct me to a source of finished vehicles. I don't want to build kits. I tried the

auction site and dei cast direct. I would like as close to 1:48 as possible.

Tamiya offers finished 1/48 military models, including tanks, humvees and similar -- they assemble their own models, in other words. I am not sure if they have the model tanks you want, but you should check their website. Also, they will not be inexpensive but, in my experience, Tamiya makes the finest plastic models. The assembled versions will also be first rate.

I know 3000Toys has some American WWII jeeps in 1/48. IIRC, the other 1/48 was some German stuff.

They may have some different items for you in their 1/50 or 1/43 ???

My customer service experience with them has been great.
