Looks like cabinetbob's worker at the cabinet shop..first and last guess.. today..
It's Cabinet Bob's cabinet shop building display cases for the Brewery!
Well I'll chime in early. It is either a person coming out of lumber yard, a construction site..........or.........wait for it a ...............a brewmaster with a paddle for stirring the vats in a brewery...........................Paul
mike g. posted:It's Cabinet Bob's cabinet shop building display cases for the Brewery!
Silly....it's a worker carrying oak boards into the barrel room of a brewery!!!!
I believe it's a guy shipping back an O scale steamer back for repair !

Your right Dave! What was I thinking! Bob's employees don't work that hard unless the boss is around!

Mike G, the eternal optimist. Go get'em Mike!
Steve
A Menard's lumber yard with a matching truck.
One day Steve! I will be right. LOL
I think he's just board.
Don
Maybe a lumber yard ... but others have said that, so I'll go for a sawmill.
House under construction
Andrew

Don
And it starts.
Steve
An excited Eagles fan carrying away a piece of the bench after the big win!
Craignor posted:A excited Eagles fan carrying away a piece of the bench after the big win!
Which, I think, actually happened. The accused had to pay for the repairs.
Steve
I'll take one!!! I need all kinds of industry!!!!
Jim
Chairman of the board for Dad's cabinet Company! LOL
It's Moffat Tunnel
Maybe a Menards?
Or maybe a sawmill. Since Menards just did the nuclear reactor (as did Lionel as an operating accessory) maybe they are going to put their own spin on a sawmill.
Well, it's definitely not Mark... that guy has a big chip on his shoulder...
It's gotta be a sawmill or atleast I hope it is.

A WORKING sawmill......one 2 x 4 will supply all our scale lumber needs for a year!!!
A Menards retail store being reissued?
It's a model of the North Creek Train Station.
"Speak softly and carry a big stick ..."
What, me worry?
It's a train layout design studio. No hardhat.
It's GRJ leaving the "other hobby shop" with a bang for his buck.; it's "sporting goods"
A flower shop for Valentine's Day Looooong stem roses
Mike, It's you laying forms
are you sure that you're building a train room and not barrel storage
I agree it's going to be a Menards store and that's someone coming out with some lumber they bought there.
It's a stud farm!
Why does everybody think it's a building? Could be a freight car. Lumber car, flat Car with finished lumber.
Dave
He's dressed too nice to be in construction. He's got that "hipster" look about him. I'd say it's Ken with a box of roses for his girlfriend Barbie for Valentines Day. So maybe a flower shop? Wish the brewery (Yuengling) were in the works boys, really I do.
david1 posted:Why does everybody think it's a building? Could be a freight car. Lumber car, flat Car with finished lumber.
Dave
That doesn't look like somebody getting stuff from railroad car. Maybe the back of a delivery truck at there home but then the driver would do that and don't believe driver would be dressed like.

LOL Adriatic, funny you say that. Pouring concrete today!

Yep Jim, I am excited that things are moving forward! Mud gets here at 10:30 this morning!

I figured as much because I knew ↓↓ this fluffy stuff↓↓ would occupy my day
At the bottom right is a garden lighthouse; it is tall as the top of my knee. You could see the sidewalk early today.
I think the new release will be a Menards retail store with a lumber yard. Also 17" bulk head flat cars loaded with Menards lumber.
It is a giant chew stick for jack the dog....
Carpenters do it with wood!!!
Another Menard's store or lumber yard is too obvious but that's what Mark's clue brings to mind. It can't be that easy. So I'll have to second a piece of rolling stock with lumber load but not necessarily a flat with bulkheads.
Another "Not Railroad" item...
It could be a dog house.
Andrew

WOW I really feel for all of you getting snow! Stay warm and safe!
Its a tank yard for the BREWERY!
It is a scrap metal yard...................Paul
It could be a new dog pound, but Jack would not like it!
I see a construction site. Darn big rebar in that foundation!
Someone giving their grandkids a bath? LOL
I see a hard hat now . He must have went to Menard's after lunch; leaving the hardhat in the truck
I see bog ol' rebar too. They must be building another new Menard's with supplies from the old
...or it's a brewery
My vote would be for the lumber yard. We do need more industrial type buildings that can be "serviced" by our railroads, rather than all these "cutsie" buildings that could be place in a community setting without any train at all. When is the release date?
Paul Fischer
"Bog"? Where did that even come from?
I love the typos today's composers dream up; there was no word there.
Oh , yes there was.... "big ol' "...... more coffee
I an guessing a sawmill. Maybe with a spinning saw blade.
Jeff
Home or building being constructed
Another "shovel-ready" project from 10 years ago still underway despite billions in infrastructure spending. If it's anything like its prototype, you will be paying for this in installments for the rest of your lives. :-)
Is it really "TO BE DETERMINED" if you already know what it is? Shouldnt it be a "GUESS WHATS NEXT"?
A pack of (24) or more construction workers in 1/4" scale.
The foundation for a beer brewery

I like your way of thinking Bill!
With the hinged arms I am thinking an animated construction site. Have you ever noticed that all the people in Menardsville have blond hair. That's ok with me my hair was blond at one time. Alas now gray.
Id like to have a real block of wood like he is standing on. Would make a good thing to split firewood on!
Jim

Honestly I don't drink as a rule, but was surprised I didn't see anyone else come up with it so figured I would help you all out.
It's the start of " The Wall " , just got some money for it in last week's vote.
Looks to me like the retaining wall for some Velociraptors. I like the idea of a bit of Jurrasic Park Theme on my lay out!!!! I already had a Triceratops donated during my open house in December!
Rick

WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Jim
Dr. Jack posted:It's the start of " The Wall " , just got some money for it in last week's vote.
But I thought that was another brick in the wall not cement.
Not to confuse things more but, here is a picture from the train station they sell. Looks like they left a couple of the workers at the station
I think it's a worker carrying raw material for the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory??
It's gonna be a concrete bunker for spent nuclear fuel
Sewage treatment plant. Jus' guessin'.
Lets see what can you do with a 2x6...make a thousand or so toothpicks...
So is Menard's planning on any new car releases this year, or is to be new buildings from now on?
I think we will see some new cars this year. Some new road names on existing tooling. Maybe they are waiting till some of the inventory goes down. I believe, myself, we may see a couple of new rolling stock items this year.......Paul
J Hartley CAE posted:I see a construction site. Darn big rebar in that foundation!
J Hartlet, I'm thinking the same thing or a building or bridge being built.
I believe you guys are on the something there with the foundation thing. I think it's going to be a facility for model train addicts. Mark the Menard's Guy will be the new counselor. Hopefully it will have an adjoining brewery.
milwrd posted:Hopefully it will have an joining brewery.
Your not supposed to talk about that... you have to use it's code name - the medical dispensary!!!
Ultra blonde Dutch guy carrying a roll of linoluem. Must be a wooden shoe factory
It's so simple, what you are looking at is the construction crew building a billboard. That's not rebar it's part of the light fixtures! Actualy I haven't got a clue! Russ

Fur mah Rheumatiz!
The common factor in the two photos is wood. Cut wood.
I know knot where it leafs us, but I node what I "saw" wasn't knurly enough to root out a good answer
Building the rooftop bar/restaurant
Whatever it is; I'm gonna like it! the fact that it has a great big shipping container means that it MUST be railroad related. Now, I'll have to see where I can shoehorn it in on the layout.
Paul Fischer
Wonder what's in the crate ... The Ark of the Covenant? lol
Rusty
A carpenter's shop. He uses wood to make crates
A do it yourself Beer Brewery for little people
Come on now Menards... I'm running out of room!!! LOL
Jim
Freight station.
Looks like a furniture packing crate. With them all with yellow hair my money is on a new Ikea going up... with a bar for the men folk.
A "Major Award" ?
Jerry
someone on a cell phone, hmmm trying to figure where to deliver it.
It is some kind of construction going on, me thinks.
After more ponderence on the puzzle I believe it to ba a construction of a brewery, Yuengling maybe? hick..
no hard hat.... not a construction site with a full blown safety plan....
I think its a warehouse, and the first guy broke apart a pallet to get a board, to smack the phone out of this guys hand, so he can get back to work.
I have room for one more building, ok two so I think it is a lumber yard, maybe!!
Dave
I think Bob is right! full of train stuff for us all! Maybe I better run down to the dock and see if I can get some stuff before it heads east! Heck its just down the road!
rtraincollector posted:someone on a cell phone, hmmm trying to figure where to deliver it.
Actually getting directions to Cabinet Bob's place so he can Deliver this crate of samples so Cabinet Bob can test some of the new products before hitting the shelves.
It's a Menard's Mystery Box factory! Or distribution point.
Jimmy Dean's Pallet and crate Refurbishing ?
Don't laugh too hard, I didn't make that name up
.....And now he owes me a soda for name dropping!
KIA FURNITURE STORE OR WAREHOUSE perhaps?

The wait is over! Introducing Tampa Towers from Menards!
https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...-towers-from-menards
Thank you,
Mark the Menards Train Guy
Thanks Mark!
I note all the workmen have yellow hair or orange hardhats. I smell a conspiracy. And if you just exchange two letters you get Trump Towers! For those discriminating oligarch's with several million bucks to launder.
No lights I see, but could string up my own. Lots of play value for my kids. Just need to rename the vehicles from Ray's to Boris', add a few feet sticking out of the freshly poured concrete, change the banner, etc. and you have your own little conspiracy story!
Great job
Jack the Dog is there, on the lookout for the building inspector, he is their muscle
Well, their safety plan is seriously lacking. I am curious, how integral is the base? Anyone wnat to venture a guess based on past menards?
A building like that , at this stage, the apron (where the pump truck is sitting) would still be gravel & dirt.
It's easy....he's telling you to call on line to menards.com
