Okay, it was stocked on the shelf, and you found it. You couldn't have kept it a secret until the official announcement?

I seen the coal cars late last week at my local Menards, and kept it to myself until Mark made his announcement on the forum.

I guess it's just me, I know it's not a case of national security, but can no one keep a secret? I guess that's one reason why I'm not on Facebook.

Loose lips melts M&M's

Unfortunately for me and my RR choices, Menard's continues to go deeper and deeper into a product line that is of no use to me. Of course, this is happening all over the 3RO offerings.

Some of the buildings are still nice. I have one (Vetter Door). But a little more heavy industry would be nice - maybe a half dozen modular pieces (generic "mills" and factories), so we could buy and use as the space allows.

Why is it considered a secret if it is for sale in dozens of Menards stores.

I'm in for more industrial buildings!

What obligation did the poster have to "keep it a secret?"   What he saw qualifies as "public information" as it was on open display for sale in a Menards....   he didn't break into the company design offices and steal any drawings.  LOL

And M&M's were first made for oir troops in WWII.  But I would not put it in a military train!

I don't think anyone would.   This car will catch the eye of young families in Menards stores... and is much more likely to do so than prototype railroad names or military stuff.   Menards has offered many, many military items for you to choose from.   Different strokes for different folks.

Hey Ron, I don't think it has anything to do with an obligation, etc.     It's just a bit of a killjoy to do it on a thread where there are people who enjoy the guessing game. (yes some don't, but many do).

I think that is what Rusty is getting at.

I get it... but I think if he hadn't posted the photo someone else would have done it soon afterward.

I agree.

I think some of us are taking the hobby a little too serious.

We've gone from counting rivets to an m&m's national security concern.
