Thanks for the photos. Wendy and I had a fun time at the convention yesterday, and just wish I could have attended for several more days. A nice job done by the convention hosts and organizers. We also had a fine (but costly) meal at Michael Merlots before making the drive back to Ohio, with a requisite stop along the way at Ikea (strictly for Wendy's benefit).

Hi all,

The TCA 63rd annual Convention in Pittsburgh was great. Thanks to all the Fort Pitt people that made it happen. This was my first time in Pittsburgh.

The Conventions are a great way to see the Country with your train pals. The group rates the TCA gets on the hotels and tours are very cheap compared with what you would pay on your own. So, don't forget the Conventions they are a great perk and come with your membership.

I drove up on Wednesday with my 16 year old son Wyatt, we checked in, then took in a Pirates vs. Rays games, and watched the Pirates win, great ballpark!

Thursday we had an early 2 layout tour bus trip, followed by a very nice dinner cruise.

Friday, we saw the Carnegie Science museum and layout, and toured the Submarine USS Requin. All very nice. Came back and went through the trading pit at the hotel, and the Standard Gauge Modular Association, that really blew me away.

Saturday we took a swim in the hotel hot tub and pool, then the Banquet.

I had a great time with my 16 year old son Wyatt, and my friends Lynley and Brian. Ran into MartyE and TonyA from the Forum. Saw Ed, Clem, and John from the Trackers. We also met some really nice people on the tours, host Anthony, Dennis, Cline, Lone Star Dave, Beth, and Dave.

Here are some of my photos:

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Loved to see the Disney Monorail themed layout.  (and the rest as well, of course!)

Wondering if anyone who was there can comment on what these cars (highlighted in the purple box) on the O gauge line were?

-Dave
