TCA TRAIN SHOW IN PONCHATOULA, LA ON SATURDAY Nov 2, 2019

The Louisiana Chapter of TCA Train Show is at the 1st Baptist Church GYM at 325 Pine St. from 9am to 3pm Saturday 11-2-2019. Cost is $5. The train show is part of The Ponchatoula Trade Days and Crafts Fair about 1 block away.

The Trade Fair is free and a good place for the wife or older kids that are not into trains to spend a couple hours or so.

Here are a few photos of last March 3, 2018 show.

Here is a picture of the Lionel1862, 4-4-0 General I got at the March 2018 show for a $15 good deal. Someone put in a lot of work customizing it and runs swell.

Hope you guys have a successful show tomorrow Charlie. Do you know George Kosanavich perchance? He was our licensed Lionel repair man and started Service Station #224 back in 1989 or so at my hobby shop. He taught me a lot and became a good friend. Still works on them and has an active business nearby in Covington.

I would really like to attend this, however to do so means I would have to get on the dreaded 1-10 and I just don’t like driving at such a high speed (80-90+.

Ponchatoula is a very interesting, historical city.

Looked up the location using “maps” on our newly acquired iPhone and see there is an alternate route to get there not using 1-10 so maybe ???😎👀🙈
