Brooks Stover's Buffalo Creek & Gauley is well known in S circles.  It's always good to see his work breakout of the S scale "bubble."

He has also had multiple articles in Railroad Model Craftsman and the NMRA Bulletin.  I believe this is the first time his layout's been featured in Model Railroader.

What few folks may realize is that the BC&G is actually a HiRail layout.  The track is AM code 148 and his equipment all has HiRail flanges.

Few notice this unless it is pointed out and in no way dimishes his talents.  Before the SHS 2-8-0's came out, he was using Flyer 0-8-0's converted into credible BC&G 2-8-0's.

Brooks is one of the best ambassadors S scale has.

Brook's layout was also featured in Model Railroader Great Model Railroads 2011. He also had an article in Dec 09 MR on adding operations to the BC&G. What is interesting is that his previous BC&G was featured in the Dec 93 MR and that layout used Gargraves track and modified Flyer turnouts along with Flyer trucks and couplers.

Brooks is certainly a master craftsmen and ambassador for S.
