Greetings All,

I have started a new layout with the intention to try some new scenery techniques and different types of track. Overall the layout is 12 by 12 with a small yard extension and a bridge duck under.

Two things I definitely wanted to try was to use both atlas and mth scaletrak. Also I wanted to build some mountains and practice some scenery building.

So far I have got the atlas track with cork roadbed down.

Just on a quick comparison on the two tracks. The atlas track is much sturdier than the scale trak and goes together much easier. You have to be very careful with the scale trak as the electrical connectors seem a bit delicate.

Obviously the scale trak costs less and it has a lower profile but Im not sure about quality just yet. Will give you updates. Posted a few photos of the progress so far along with a MTH Switcher and a few rolling stock pieces I just picked up.

Happy Railroading Everyone.
