New TTC streetcars 4401 and 4402 are again out on the streets of Toronto testing in the wee hours of the morning. The first three new cars are still owned by Bombardier and have not been turned over to the TTC yet.
4401 and 4402 are shown leaving Roncesvalles car house via the east exit onto Roncesvalles.
This time heading south on Coxwell at Gerrard.
These cars have trolley poles now, but the overhead will be converted to pantographs by 2017.

Stuart, Charlotte Area Transit system (Cats) has similar equipment which operates from I 485 north into Uptown Charlotte. The first half of the trip is interurban style and the last part is streetcar mode. The whistles are different for both.
As you might imagine CATS' light rail is known as LYNX which of course is a cat.
Houston METRO has some trcks along the UP Glidden Sub to test cars. I think that line will be reactivated because is something going to the service committee concerning gettting insurance from Lloyds. Recently the line has been closed, but METRO cannot test any cars during the day because the current Red Line cannot place another test train on it.

The new streetcars draw 50% more power, so trolley poles are out and pantographs are in.
