I am glad to have connected you with Christine.   Her custom painting is a bit addicting though.  You will find yourself sending more equipment over to Pennsylvania!  

Christine is amazing!  She just finished the final 3 cars for my Cuyahoga Valley (CVSR) set.

And 3 Amtrak phase IV cars.  I will be driving over to Pennsylvania to pick these up soon!

The tint looks great! I have used Tamiya translucent tint that I've sprayed on, but that color is much better.  Do you know where she got the film?

Scott--addictive... heck ya' it's addictive.  I havetwo more domes to send to her, and she is working on a lettering project for me.

Ross, I don't know, off the top of my head, what specific film product she used.  I'll find out and message you the information, and post it in this thread as well.

Scott--The CVSR and Amtrak cars look terrific.  If you can, send me some photos of Christine's work as attachments to emails.  I believe the quality may be better and I can view them as a larger image.  One of each project would be great.

Ross, I sent you an email with her email address.

The film is a custom color she prints on an HP latex printer; she said to contact her if you need some.

Over the past 6 months I have tried contacting her via e-mail and telephone answering machine messages, but never received a response.  One of my club  members advised that it was difficult to establish contact with her, but once you were successful it was well worth the effort.  I am aware of her Facebook page, but for  variety of reasons do not use social media.

Any suggestions as to another method of contacting Christine?

@CBQ Bill, Christine uses a clear vinyl commercial product, Ukromax L5060 10mil Solvent/UV printable, that has an adhesive backing and the color is applied via an HP 360 latex printer.  She cuts the large, printed sheet material to fit the domes.

Can't speak to problems reaching her.  She recently moved her residence which put a hold on much of her regular activity.  And I know she has plenty of work in addition to her full-time job.

I'm always reluctant to comment on problems with email response time since often it is the content of the email which causes the delay; e.g., lack of specificity in request; overly generalized notion of the project--you get the idea.  And that's not Christine talking--that's just my experience with similar communication problems.

No magic pill to offer--try her again via email and her phone number.  If your project is for something in a scale smaller than O, she'll likely refer you to another painter/decorator.  

Happy coincidence in this thread being resurrected now.

I just received back 3 more domes that Christine painted and tinted for me.  And she completed a unique project that had very little to do with painting, and much more to do with her graphic art skills.  I'll post photos this week-end.
