Have you ever worked on a building to make it look run down or seedy? I’m in the process of creating a block of run down housing and dilapidated buildings. This is my first one. Here’s a before and after picture of an MTH tenement. It’s not on the layout yet, just on the bench. Let me know what you think, and let’s see some of yours.E5FAF264-E129-4B48-886C-9CF3E4A004F2E10D3D97-35BC-4644-8F47-41036DDEAD1C351EA1C8-D2FB-4577-B6AD-0B0805A9417113B66311-A6E1-48AC-A4D3-B18866DC41267100CF57-3D96-46AC-ADCC-07AB80530C3E

Well, as requested, I did a little work on the front door. Kicked out a lower door panel, broke some glass, and added a couple more boards to the front. I do think it looks better now, thanks for the feedback. Anyone else out there wrecking their housing? Nice job Wig on your structures. They look pretty tired.211A15A7-9F89-4BC9-B713-AC66EA803EA6

Much better, now about the glass around the bullet holes and the chipped and broken brick.......!  I used to live in that neighborhood.

I finished another building. The fact is, this is the backside of the 1st building. Because I am compressing the scene, I cut the building in half to use down at the other end of the block. I’ll have a few houses and sheds in between these buildings. I’m pretty happy with it. This is really a rough neighborhood! D16D5234-F455-4C1C-B062-F334282B69B8

Well I’m pretty happy with the results. I wouldn’t want to live in this neighborhood. This is my take on the rough side of town that I am currently working into my cityscape. Buildings are MTH and Lionel and model power, heavily weathered and damaged. Cut them in half for compression of the scene. There will be a road and skyscrapers behind these structures.C17BB969-FA75-415C-BCCF-4075B246E343F5553FD0-5DF5-487B-8574-BCB6309AA0AC96AEE75D-EDD4-4EA7-9401-96111FC7EA5254C56259-6455-4336-A92A-3D453FFD18E5BF92772B-B6CE-4D75-96F1-D6A14C04DACF
