From 1907 to 1961, the CNJ operated an offline freight terminal in the Bronx. Designated the railroad's Bronx Terminal, the facility featured an interesting track layout and a fascinating circular freight house. In addition, CNJ's AGEIR box cab 1000, often referred to as the first commercially successful diesel locomotive, was assigned to the Bronx Terminal for the majority of its career.
