Some news...

Ryan just announced surprise releases of additional Amtrak Anniversary locos as well as matching passenger cars. Said they usually don't do product announcements right after a catalog release, but wanted to do this on the show.

Teased release of the midnight blue Amtrak #100 loco in the 50th Anniversary paint scheme.

Will be doing both scale and semi-scale Amtrak offerings and hinted strongly that an Amtrak starter set of some sort is possible.

More info coming later this year.

Thanks John! You beat me to the punch!

Great show, Ken. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

And highly suggest that others check it out. This was an interesting session having the Amtrak rep there to discuss the ins and outs of working with all the model train companies on design and production. And of course good stuff from the many scale company reps and their products.

I agree, John.  And thanks, Ken Jr., for hosting it.

I, too, enjoyed it.  There was a ton of HO stuff, but O gauge Lionel was great (you can fast forward to it now -- I couldn't last night).  I, too, however, found the interaction between Amtrak's brand manager and the model railroad manufacturers very fascinating.  That part may make some of you Amtrak fans want to watch the whole thing.
