Don - I'm glad you like.  The passenger cars do look dwarfed in comparison to the locomotive.  Well, posting a video in the very near future was the plan.  I had put it back in the Styrofoam to take it to the mess of an O layout and then I remembered the buggy Android BTL App from Lionel...the one that constantly crashes now.  We'll see what I can come up with otherwise even if it means borrowing a friends iPhone.  Anthony

It's in the manual but push AUX1 sound the horn.  Repeat as needed.

Jim - Be aware that the tender sounds aren't supposed to kick in until 15 smph.  Also be sure to read the manual on how the switches on the bottom of the tender affect the sounds. Anthony

@Dave Olson what is the recommended operation for the Vernada / Aux Tender?    1 TMCC ID and operate under as an ENG or 2 IDs and operate as a TR MU (lash Up)?  I would assume 1 ID would work like the ABA units for diesels.  I briefly scanned the manual but didn't see what was recommended although Page 11 seems to confirm a single ID will work for most.

Ray - Don't get to excited!  You'll notice the HO track surrounding the Turbine.  It was supposed to be a temporary test bed for projects but I find I run the HO more often since I don't run into the O issues and headaches.

I do wish they had made the "Rio Grande" logo much larger on the locomotive.  I had voiced this concern last year.  But it's still a nice unit despite it's weight.

From just playing around with it I think in this case 1 ID is best. Now my UP E-9’s seam to work better with 3 IDs plus as soon as the rear A gets a TR number it defaults to forward running unless to tell it it’s trailing in reverse

One thing leads to another is the cliche.  In anticipation of being able to make a video, I wanted to have some easement since in the video I have seen, the passenger cars jet out when going from the the O72 curve to the straight away.  Using Lionel Fastrack O84 and O96 results in a 2.70527 degree gap in a 90 degree span.  Hmmmm.....
