Very nice and heart warming...a loving tribute for this special day,
Oh the memories...Thank you Ricky
As a young kid real trains scared me. However, my father taught me to appreciate them, I found fascination in the various locomotives and right of ways. Dad then got me a subscription to TRAINS magazine. Then we went on rail fanning photo trips once a month in nice weather. Riding the Pennsylvania Reading Seashore line to the shore. The Lionel circle grew from a carpet central to a 4 x 8 to half the basement. Reading Rambles were a treat where ever when ever. The memory has now grown another degree warmer, I just received a 1:48 Reading #2124 T-1. nostalgia personified! Every where I look in the train room I see my father.
St. Augustine really nailed it when he wrote in his "Confessions" that no relationship is ever over, no event is ever final as long as we have the memories to cherish, to savor and let them linger in our mind.
Yes, it was a happy Father's Day.
