As many of you know, Bill Kimley (a Forum member) had Richard Melvin's avatar painted into a beautiful picture. It was so real Rich thought it was a photo at first. Bill and I have been friends from the 70's. We first met when I painted a Trainmaster engine for him. He and I lost contact for years. Of all things I saw he was on this Forum and living in China making great ocean going yachts. As luck would have it he had to deliver one of his yachts to the bay area where I lived at the time. We had lunch and filled each other in on our lost twenty years. He mentioned he liked my Milwaukee layout that was featured in run #248. I told him we were moving to Hawaii and the layout was gone. Well, I got a package from China just before Christmas. Bill had the same artist do the cover of run #248 for me. It hangs on the wall in my edit room. Thank you so much Bill. This Forum got us back in contact and yes, we will have lunch on me when you get over here. The Hula Grill has a table waiting for us. Thank you again. Don

It's impressive in the vid but when you are there! OH my goodness! It is hard to get good pix because the GROUND is shaking from the tremendous crashing force of the waves. Its really quite an experience. I've been lucky enough to have been there a couple of times and it is still a memoery I cherish very much! Thanks for rekindling that. Russ
Don - envy is not a strong enough word. My wife and I were lucky enough to get to Maui in 1992 for a Kaiser Permanente Emer. Med. Conference. Stayed at the Four Seasons in Lanai(sp?), and got to enjoy the hospitality of the Grand Mariott which had just opened. We went all over the island, includng Jaws Beach. We'd love to get back!!!
Mark, there are two Four Seasons on Lanai, did you stay on the hill or water. Come back again. We are on the Kaanapali Hillside, a half mile from the beach. Best weather on the island. Last week we went to a little beach not far from the house. We were the only ones there. I put my GoPro camera on our Labs back as she swam with me. It's a funny video. Lucy Cam. Don
