Well its been a while. But after taking down my old layout, selling my home and buying a new one, doing work in that new home, and then getting married I am finally doing something about getting the new train room up to speed. Last year I posted a number of plans for the new layout. Those plans have had some modifications but none very drastic. Any new details regarding my new layout will be discussed at another time. Right now I would like to share with you what will be the new train room. It is "L" shaped with 5 full walls (23x18x12x6x11) and one half wall (12). Here is a picture of the room from the half wall.

The room looks very nice now that it is finished.

Perhaps you could speak a little about the value of a modular or sectional approach of building a layout. It appears that approach saved a lot of the old layout and will hasten the process of constructing the new layout.
