I've had great success with soaking models in brake fluid to remove paint.  The brake fluid doesn't harm plastic.  I actually left some in brake fluid for months to see what would happen and it didn't damage the plastic.

I like the purple Super-Clean jar, that you can find in automotive stores. Takes care of your paint in a few hours.

All of these are already stripped. It took about 30 minutes for each one in the alcohol. Detailing and cutting will start soon.

The detailing begins with new ends.

Darn.  I was hoping you were talking about a caboose like the one I have.  See Attached photo.

One end done, 7 to go. I reworked the cupola too to get rid of the 3” diameter grab irons. My o scale guys can’t grab ‘em.

Three of them are done. The end walls were replaced and the rear ladders and railings were rebuilt as the prototype. The fourth one had a setback but will join these later, it will be a WM  circus caboose.

The PC N5k is a MTH casting too. I purchased Morning Sun’s new PC Caboose portfolio in color and I’m fascinated by all the classes of cabs and I may have to build one of every class.

Yea, I think that there is little question about it, he is the King of Cabeese, probably in any scale.

Thank you. I have recently stockpiled my MTH cabs for future conversions. They can be had at pretty good prices if you shop around. I have 47 piled up now so  I’m set for a while.

Some comments:

1. Gorgeous work, as usual.  Absolutely beautiful. 
2. These started life as MTH cabeese.  Can you be more specific?  Were they all PRR N5s?  Model #s would help.
3. Initially I commented that they should be labeled as "3 cabeese and a cabin car", but as you have converted one to a Penn Central crummy, I retract my statement.  They are now all cabooses.
