Guys and Gals.....one of our fine competitors is advertising via email blasts that you can get the last 5 years of their magazine for $29.95 on DVD.  I would like to remind you that you can get the LAST 50 YEARS of O Gauge Railroading Magazine for the same price...ONLY $29.95 by becoming a digital subscriber.  This is an absolute bargain and will not last forever.  In addition, our digital subscribers get extra value in the form of more content in the digital magazine than we could hope to put in the print version AND special access to the digital video library.  WE NEED YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS!!!  Please consider coming aboard the OGR train if you have not done so and if you haven't renewed in a while, this is a perfect time.  Pricing will not be able to remain at this level much longer so don't miss out on the best value you can get in this segment of the hobby!  AND...don't forget we have a special combo price for both the digital and print for only $46.95!!

Thanks for your support!

Is this a one time fee for the digital back issues or does it have to be renewed yearly?

Joe...this is a yearly subscription just like a print sub.  The difference of course is the print sub is for only the number of issues that come out in a year but the digital sub not only includes the next year's issues but all of the issues of the magazine for the past 50 years.  At the end of a year, you have to renew just as you would if you were renewing a traditional subscription.

I subscribed to both print and digital for two years back in February or March and have enjoyed a couple of issues so far. I have not done much on the digital side yet but I did learn one thing: do not read the digital version of the next issue until after getting the print issue! Reading it early on the computer spoils the anticipation of browsing through the paper version. Now to wait for the "Digital Subscriber" icon to show up next to my avatar.

I need to add....my layout is the cover feature in RUN 313. While I am beaming with pride...when you get the digital subscription, you have access to 45 ADDITIONAL pictures of my layout. There are some really good shots that did not make the feature that you can see by subscribing to digital.

Don;

Your comment made me finally take a look at RUN 313 - beautiful layout, and the additional photos are a great bonus. There is one in particular that jumps out to me... there is a shot of the long platform in front of a very impressive station. The details of the activity on the platform are incredible - great job

I stopped by Barnes & Nobel a couple hours ago to pick up a printed edition and no OGR to be found.  That magazine section had a lot of empty spaces so I ask  customer service what was going on.  She said that  their magazine vendor had gone out of business.

That's a trade I've never given much thought as to and how magazines got to a store,  they're just always there or on order.

This is a good reason for me to go digital now.

Doug...Some time ago, we had to make a decision whether or not shipping the magazine to B&N made sense.  They were returning on average between 7 and 8 out of every 10 magazines shipped to their store.  This means that 70 to 80 percent of the magazines we were sending them of which we paid to have printed were being returned because they simply did not sell in their stores.  This was costing our company far more than it was worth as far as ROI....so.....we made a business decision which resulted in B&N no longer being shipped our magazine.  We have done this with others as well.  Bottom line, if you are going into a traditional bookstore to look for our magazine, you likely will no longer find it.  Many other magazines are doing the same as we move more and more to a digital platform.

Being able to download all the past issues as well as current issues is a big plus for using the Digital Edition.  I got rid of my paper magazines years ago and never looked back.  What a bunch of clutter.  Now they are stored on my external drive.

I really was hoping in the extras of 313 Ed would run the Coors Light train.
