Missed that one, but remember them well as a kid.

I saw a sharp 57 Thunderbird at one of the bandit meets on Wednesday. 

I followed the T-bird out of the fairgrounds Thursday evening. It was a nice car for sure, but he couldn't have fit much in it. I brought my convertible to York once, and had to send a bunch of stuff home with a friend... it was either the trains, or the top that were going to fit in the trunk and it was a real nice day . Now I just take the SUV so I can get all my stuff home.

This is my 1959 Belair That I restored. When I retire in a couple of years I plan on heading out to York in this. It has a trunk the size of a closet, plenty of room for bargains.

That bel-air is beautiful, but not quite stock with those fancy wheels! Nice job.  Should be proud to drive it.

It took 2 years to finish, the colors are actually 1957 colors Sierra Gold and Snow Crest White. Does have the original 283 automatic but it's also updated. My hobbies are cars, trains, and a little art work on the side. I'll post some pics of my latest restore when I finish them. Repainted 2 Santa Fe MTH SD40's blue with yellow book ends. Also took 3 Rico stations and made 2 thanks again enjoy and God Bless

 

I missed the Stude, too, but saw the Bird....I am glad people are driving their cars...which they seem to be doing a lot less than they used to, even Model A Fords which have many parts reproduced.  (Getting parts for most else, even that '59 Chevy, is expensive, and very time consuming)

Like most hobbies this is very true. If you don't do most of the work yourself it's even more expensive. I actually did most of the body work and helped paint it. Lol I'll never do that again, blew paint out my nose for 2 days. Not like using an airbrush on some of my custom engines.

I'm old enough to remember when I first saw  that "modernistic" Studebaker.  I think my mouth dropped open.  It looked like something out of the future.

I was a senior in college when the "59 Chevy came out.  Loved it, and you have really done a beautiful job on yours, 842.
