"A" N&W #1234 heads west with a string of empties as it meets #1218 headed east with loaded hoppers.

I just noticed a couple of derailed cars on that empty consist. They must have string lined. The A just dragged them along like nothing had happened..... 

I'll post another consist for you next week as we move through the N&W "Alphabet Soup". Hint, the next letter I can present is "E".

"E" N&W Heritage unit ES44AC made an appearance on the layout today. It pulled my collection of hopper cars. The locomotive was pulling 3-4 amps. Not exactly "happy", but doing the job.  I had the speed cranked up to 30 smph to ensure I could get the entire consist on the recording.

 

More E action to follow. It's going to take a while to put the hoppers away...
