Thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Retiring from prototype railroading, and taking up 2 Rail Scale is a nice transition. Share some of what you've built.

Glad to have you with us!! Thank you for saying hello!  I been learning O Scale for about 4 years,(I lose count),after 30+ years in HO. I model CSX and it's predecessor railroads. Always was my dream to work for the railroad as a Brakeman,but health reasons didn't permit. I'm modeling freelance based on CSX practices. Don't be a stranger.

RJT, and all,  I've been working on the layout sporadically. Every time I think that the track plan is finished I end up changing it or tweaking it in some manner. I use Old Pullman and Atlas code 148 flex on the main, and Micro Engineering code 125 and code 100 on the branch line and sidings. My turnouts are Old Pullman, Atlas, and Marcway with Caboose Hobbies ground throws. With the exception of the Marcway turnouts, all my track has been purchased used or NOS from swap meets or on the Bay.  The layout is 16 ft. by 47 ft. overall with a 24 ft. stub  end yard. The next step is to increase the length of the yard about eight more feet and incorporate a caboose track, and a light repair track. I'll have to post a couple of pictures when I get some scenery thrown down.  I run dead rail with the Blue Rail system. I like not having ANY wire on the layout, but you have to pay attention to what you're doing while operating (like the prototype). Anyway I'll check back later when more is accomplished.  Doug
