Is there a timeout function that removes a poster’s text (and post) if not posted within a time limit?  I was about 20 min into a detailed description of a problem I was having with a Lionel item when my posting screen disappeared and the screen jumped up to the beginning of the section.  My work in progress was nowhere to be found.  This is not the first time it has happened, but thought I would raise the issue now.  For reference, I am working from an Apple iPad.  Most likely I can work around the issue by typing my post in Word, do a copy, and then paste in the open post.  But that is an extra step I should not have to do.

I'm not aware of any timeout feature on this system. A personal experience can illustrate this.

A few months ago I was working on a post and got a phone call. I took the call, talked for 20 minutes, forgot about the post and took The Lovely and Gracious Linda grocery shopping. When I got back to my computer - a couple of hours later - my post-in-progress was still there and I was able to finish it.

I have found the Ipad is not the best device to use here. I've posted here using an Ipad, but the writing and editing process is cumbersome at best. I would suggest that when you have a long post you want to work on, use the computer.
