   I do not have any Beer Box Cars, however that is one beautiful Tin Plate Train, the colors are just fantastic.  Almost purchased one a while back myself!

Its not a slope, it is a cliff.... I've got an R890 that would be great for the four wheel cars.

Man I completely forgot about the ETS cars I got a while back.  I actuallu already have the Prazdroj car.  Here it is with my Marklin R890 & my roofless Marklin RS900.  The ETS cars almost look a little big with these two small Marklin locos.

So, I see Old Frothingslosh, American, Drewry's, IC Light and Iron City, plus the variations Steve is mentioning. I see pictures of several American variations online alone.

Thanks for sharing Steve. I don't get out enough to find all of those. I would have never knew they existed. 

I also see that my car is a steel side version vs. some of the others being wood sided with railings.

Ok, I found the MTH Beer sets in the 2008 catalog.  These are what we need to find!  If I remember correctly, they did actually make these sets.  Does anyone know for sure?

I found a dealer who listed the reefer set as in stock as of July 2017. They said they sold it. The Old Frothingslosh, was only issued in that set. My box says the item number is 10-3039A. The "A" means it was an item from a set. The Iron City car sold in November last year on the eBay.au site. Of course, I missed it. I have never seen the Buck or Straub cars. I am only collecting the reefers, so I will leave the tank cars to you. However, I do not know if those were actually made. 

My Three Stooges car is custom. I bought decals from a forum member and made that car. the decals were in somewhat limited supply. You may still be able to get the decals by searching the forum for that thread. I used an MTH LCT Sheffield Farms car, because it did not have plates and lent itself to decals. Stripping it was very difficult, as MTH uses very hard paint.

Unfortunately, in 2008, I did not know what a Lionel tinplate 2800 series car was. I think I was only vaguely familiar with Tinplate Traditions at the time.

By the way, I have the Goetz car on pre-order. I actually mistakenly ordered the Goetz car with postwar trucks. So, I may actually have both the tinplate truck version and the postwar truck version on order. If I get both, would someone want the one with postwar trucks? If not, my dealer said he could sell it in his shop.

This is what the Goetz car will look like. 

The first rolling stock made in H0 gauge by Fleischmann (Germany) was made with lithographed tinplate bodies. So here is a tinplate beer reefer for Heineken beer (a local Dutch brand that you might not know).

That is nice Fred, I like those in ho.  They would be a good mix with my Marklin ho.

George, I also found the Beer tank train seeming available, just need to decide if I want to take the plunge or not.  I'd like to see some close ups of the actual cars but there is practically nothing on the net for them.

I am really hoping the Goetz car is on the way.  I had an MTH rep tell me it was a few weeks ago, but I don't know if it was true or if he was just making me happy so I would leave him alone. lol  I really liked several cars in that catalog such as the Waddel hopper and the 2814R meat reefers.

As a Milwaukee native and Milwaukee Road collector I naturally collect the beer cars associated with the Milwaukee Road's famous "Beer Line". (Note: The Milwaukee Road Historical Association published a great book on the "Beer Line" which can be purchase on their website.)

MTH and McCoy made several nice Standard Gauge cars based on Milwaukee brewers.  Here's MTH's version of a Schlitz Beer boxcar next to my tinplate version of the Schlitz brewery: 

McCoy also made several nice Standard Gauge reefers of Milwaukee brewers' cars including the Pabst, Schlitz and Miller cars below:

There are others such as the CMC Standard Gauge Pabst beer reefer, which I am currently building from a CMC kit produced/sold in 1974.

  No matter how much I love Tin Plate, nothing beats the modern Coors Silver Bullet Train.  Once you see one of these Coors Trains run, with the remote control opening doors, and smoke escaping form the refrigerator cooling cars, nothing else comes close.

Now if they made something similar in Tin Plate, that would even top the Coors SB Train.

You my friend are 100% correct.  I need no more projects!

Here is an update on the Lionel 1719 boxcar with paper sides, still copies of the old Bing reefer.  I'll work something different up when I get time.  The roof paint is Rustoleum Kona Brown.  Might be good on some passenger car roofs.

Last is  the beginings of a prototype tinplate reefer.  Sorry it is in brass cause that is what I had around from some other long lost project.  Sides are .015"  Will have opening doors like the Bing reefer.  It's about the size of an old Scale-craft reefer, sides are 2.25" tall and about 10-1/4" long.  Currently with late prewar trucks.

Now, if only Ohio Art Company would respond to my sign request... we might get somewhere...

Do you know how thick their signs are?  Be nice if they were about .015 or so like the old Lionel tin cars. Any thicker and it would be a real pita to work with.  I was thinking I could get about 5-6 car sides on one of their larger signs and then I have a buddy with a cnc plasma cutter.  ( Laser would be better, but use what you got, besides they would be more prototypes).  Probably won't pan out, but it is fun to try and work through.
