TIU output

I get a drop of around half a volt through the TIU from my PH180 with a 2 amp load on the TIU output.  With no load, I see virtually the same voltage, within .1 volts.

That being said, you're not looking at this in the correct way.  The TIU "assumes" 22 volts on the input, and so it's output voltage reading on your remote is based on the 22 volt input.  Since the PH180 only gives 18 volts, you get the ratio of 18V to 22V, that's about 20% lower.  So, if you dial up 20 volts on your remote, you are actually getting 80% of 20 volts because of the assumed input voltage vs the actual input voltage.  20 volts on the remote equals around 16V on the output of the TIU when powered with the PH180.

Remote voltage is based on a 21 volt supply, so you will get an 18/21  percentage reading.

Actually, I believe it's based on 22 volts, that's what you get when you roll the variable channel up to full voltage.

Ok. So if my input is 18V then output to track will be 18-20% of that. Correct?

If you set the output at 18V, that's correct.  The remote is just showing you a ratio of the input fixed voltage (assumed to be 22 volts), and the output throttle setting.  It's not measuring the actual voltage, so unless you have 22 volts going in, it's not going to be accurate.

Thanks. Actually my input from bricks is a bit under 18 when I put my meter on it. Output is 14.6 volts.

Sounds pretty normal.
