TIU Upgrade to 5.0 Issues

I have a customer that upgraded his TIU to 5.0 and now he can not find TIU with Remote.

We checked remote and it accessed our TIU just fine so remote is not the issue. We tried to access with our remote and it could not find it either.

He checked fuses and put meter on output of Fixed 1 and he is getting 18 volts.

I have heard another person that mentioned he had similar issue.

He tried to get MTH on phone to see if they had any suggestions and could not get through.

Any suggestions for him? We would appreciate it.

I suppose it's possible that in upgrading the remote he knocked the comm board loose. Has he tried a tether?

Brian,

A few suggestions...

Check that his TIU's DCS ID# is what he thinks it is by counting how many times the red LED blinks at power-on before it comes on steady
Then, ensure that he has that TIU ID# in his remote. Press: Menu/System/TIU Setup/Add TIU. If his TIU is one of the ones available to add, add it and then use the Delete TIU menu function to delete any TIU that he doesn't have
Also, make sure that the TIU and the remote were both updated to DCS 5.0.

Maybe try an aux power supply , even a reload of the software but first check out the led blink number . You did pull the stereo cable?
