You should be able to reverse the plug with a 2 to 3 prong adapter.
I found another reference to reversed polarity on the ph180s. It mentioned an adapter, but probably easier to cut the cord and install a new plug.

I’ll have to go to the local hardware to get an adapter.
You can swap the outputs leads as well, that works the same as swapping the plug.
John, you are a genius! All is well! I’m going to change the wiring I’my homemade connector and mark the ph180 as parity reversed! THANK YOU!
Great, glad it was an easy fix.
And that is what this forum is all about. Thank You GunrunnerJohn
Great job and explanation

FWIW, I had one of those bricks with the reversed polarity, I just took it apart and swapped the power plug leads. While I was in there, I replaced the troublesome fuse with an appropriately rated PTC. Serves the same purpose, but when you remove power for a minute, it's as good as new with no screwdrivers or fuse replacements.

I popped the rubber feet on the brick with the intention of taking the case apart. Burnt, I seemingly don’t have a screw driver that can loosen the screws to separate the case. What tool do I need?
and where can I get the fuse replacement?
Faced with a PH-180 wasn't in phase with the rest of my bank or transformers, I took the easy way out: reversed the wires between brick & TIU

I did that. Just wanted to correct the flaw in the ph180.
It's a triangle driver, I made one from an old screwdriver on my bench grinder. You can also buy them.

John, thats a new one on me. I have a set of star drivers, a set of hex drivers, but never heard of a triangle driver.
Why do they have to make things so difficult?
They just don't want you in there fixing the transformer, they'd rather you buy a new one.

As you said “Nothing is do easy as the job you imagine someone else doing.”
I’ll let you know how it goes!
