Phil: when you were demonstrating Bull Frog Snot on a locomotive running this way in the cradle we would come back and find wheels had stopped turning ... lost it's signal??  Hooking it up to conventional avoiding TMCC it might have kept turning wheels instead of stopping half-way through the process ruining it?
