Damage during shipping caused the following problem and I was wondering if someone could help.

The Crane itself is too "loose" on the car itself.

Something has broken or let go that allows too much "play" and the two gears that cause the crane to turn wont stay "meshed".

I can see down in where this is happening but have no idea if I should even attempt a repair let alone what the repair might be.

Thank You in Advance for any help.

I can post pics if necessary.

If it's new and you bought it from a dealer I would send it back. Unless you have experience fixing the crane I wouldn't mess with it.  I laid mine down on it's side to fix a minor problem with one of the lines off the small pulley on the boom tip and when the boom moved the wrong way it gave slack to the rest of the lines and I spent a good 2 hours fixing it!   Not fun!

I might be misreading this, but it almost sounds like the lever that holds the two gears in the cab together is either damaged or missing; the lever and gears are accessible via sliding the door on the right hand side of the cab. The cab will turn only when the lever is engaged on the gear.
