I have the JLC H7 C&O version. It has two chuffs per rev so I would think the UP version would also have two cuffs per rev. I modified mine by putting 3 magnets and a reed switch on the trailing truck. Gives 4 chuffs perfectly now.

thanks ken. sorry I forgot to put in the product number guys. it was late and I was very tired.

saw one of these online and they look beautifull. it had rs5.0 and the fan smoke seemed just ok. just wondering if I picked one up would it be worth the supperchuffer upgrade and chuff generator upgrade. the price is decent,but not cheap.

from what I can research here these JlC models were almost visionline for there time.

its my birthday so I thought another new steam engine would be a nice gift to me😁

Very few of the Lionel TMCC models had 4-chuffs, I think some just before Legacy finally did have 4-chuffs.

Naturally, I believe the Chuff-Generator and Super-Chuffer II are most certainly worth it, but I may be biased!
