TMCC/Legacy Communication Problem

I don't have a solid answer for you but a few things to check:

What interface are you using to activate the accessories remotely? An SC-2? If so, they sometimes have internal antenna issues and require a ground wire to be placed near them for signal improvement.

I assume that your accessory transformer AC plugs are phased with the plugs of the transformers that are powering the train loop(s)? 

Just a question...

Are you powering your switch tracks and accessories from track power and, if so, what is the source of that track power?

Accessories and switch motors are controlled by ASC’s and are powered by separate supplies than track power which is a ZW. Bricks and small transformers are in phase. 

I have had a Legacy Base put out strange signals as observed on the serial output.  Replacing the base solved the problem.  If you can borrow a different base for a test, you can verify if the base is the culprit.

The problem occurs using either a TMCC base or a Legacy base either separate or interconnected.

Does the power to the track share a common ground with the power source to the ASC/OTC?
