And if the worst has happened, which I sincerely hope is not the case, I would think that a bunch of cards stating how much she meant to us would make her relatives feel good.

Hoping for the best, just a Windows software crash, we could always forward the cards to Alex (provided he is willing) with some postage$ and send them in a batch.

Good idea. I would definitely go for that.

Wonderful idea Alex! Thank you for doing this.

Some have mentioned posting her address  to send cards.

If you hear back, what if you started another another thread where we could post our condolences/ well wishes ( if she is still with us)? Seeing as this forum was the way we shared her thoughts and ideas, etc.

Then you could print it out and send it. Maybe your letter already covers it? I don't know, just a thought.

Hi Rick,

The letter we wrote was quite short but took a while to write, trying to come up with the right words. I think it's a great idea to start a thread with well wishes, as soon as i hear something

we will do that.

Hello everyone,

As far as putting her information here on the forum i would like to wait and see if we hear something, before i do that. Lets all keep praying and hoping she's on the mend.

Thanks,

Alex

Alex,

I agree it is a great idea and I intend to contribute when the time comes.

Since we are not certain whether she will actually be the one reading whatever you (and we) send her, and instead may be her family members who end up with your (and ours) remittance, should at least a short note be included written in Dutch?

I am 100% with this, please keep us posted.

Hi Chris,

I saw your post on the first page, very nicely done. I will copy it and mail it

tomorrow

Thanks,

ALEX

Alex, granted it's a short time since you reached out to Nicole or whoever might presently be in charge of her affairs but have you received any feedback whatsoever from the letter you sent? Do you know whether it's yet reached the address you used and if that address is still a currently vaild and functioning residence for her?

We're all anxiously awaiting to hear from you about any response you may have gotten to date and praying for the Christmas miracle of Nicole still being with us.

I can't find that message but do remember and have found one where Nicole referred to a museum in Norfolk, VA, which together with her choice of trains suggests that she had more than a passing familiarity with the eastern U.S.A.

Here it is, she was talking of the US Army Transportation Museum over at Ft. Eustis in Hampton (near Norfolk):
