Please post questions for MTH to answer either on this thread, or on the thread announcing the York DCS User Group Meeting itself that is at the top of this forum. Alternatively, you may E-mail questions to me using the E-mail address in my profile.

If there's anything you would like to know from MTH at the York DCS User Group Meeting next month, regardless of whether or not you're planning to attend the meeting yourself, please let us know by the end of the day Sunday, April 1st. This will allow time for MTH to perform any research required to answer your questions.

Thank you!

I would love a small upgrade / add-on board to allow a protocoupler on any car.

I see it was mentioned at the end of the last meeting (PS-3 lite), any progress on this?

Lets use that AUX button on the Remote that's never been used for them. A complete new set of addresses could be hiding there, 3 digits 1-99 + A-Z for Train# - Car Letter or just more numbers!!!  (Yes I know it will require a Remote file Upgrade if not the new Remote.)

Speaking of the new remote, Any progress to report? And Will it be compatible with old TIU's?

I would still like to see a program allowing us to swap sounds from engine file to engine file. I know I can record to the TIU custom sounds, but I can't get a clean recording from the engines easily.

Please add More of the Sound Files on the Website for listening to before I buy the engine!!!

Any word on new switches for ScaleTrax? (Off DCS Topic I know)

And NO, I won't be able to attend, I'll have to wait for the always excellent review here.

Does MTH plan to introduce more prototypical design features into its O gauge steamers, like blow-down, dynamo, cylinder chest or whistle smoke effects, as well as an operating bell?

Does MTH plan to introduce scale cars with sound effects?

Is the TIU going to be upgraded or replaced?  Similar question about the DCS hand-held.  If so, do they just get sent back for updating or, if there’s a need to buy another one, will there be some sort of an exchange program for people (like me) who just very recently bought these things?

Thank Barry

Clem,

sure would be nice if we could get an AIU thats all switch track? or all accessory with direction arrows for tortoise switch machine. How about our locomotives have an option to measure in feet and inches instead of scale miles, I sure could use that more than scale miles.

The first question is a good one, however, there's no way you'll get distance measured to the scale foot, let alone the scale inch. A scale inch is 1/4 of a "real" inch. The measurement just isn't that accurate.

Barry,

1) could you ask them if they might work on a nug feature to slightly tweak a smph on one engine to more closely match another engine's smph.

2) when will a fix be available for the lashup issue that was greatly improved under 4.x but still has issues (component of an MU has engine not found but MU still works properly.

3) The DCS "ALL" command responds to the last set of engines within the TIU which has the effect of a handheld without those engines within the handheld effecting the last selected engines.  The workaround is to always reselect the "ALL" set before issuing an "ALL" command (this does effect operations because if you have a Legacy or TMCC engine, those engines end up in the inactive area)

I guess I wrote that wrong I meant real feet and inches. In the O gauge Video Guide it is mentioned that the system is accurate  to within a fraction of an inch. Be nice to do this in the measured route feature. Thank you.
