I'd really like to view your website but after opening it I can't access anything but the first page.  What do I need to do?

Thanks for the reply. I am new at setting up a website- what you will see is about 48 hours old at this point. Try going to "More" on the menu bar, and then pulling down to "SHOP".  That is where you should see all of the items that I have posted for sale so far. 

As of right now, the Architectural Models button activates an empty page and O Scale Model Railroad Structures button/pull down only has four letter sets. It all works on my iMac, iPhone and iPad. The site also work on my wife's PC with OS10. The site does not load at all on the shop's old Windows XP Professional browsers.

Are you anticipting smaller lettering in those same styles, maybe 3/16 - 1/4 inch?

That is a good idea. Do have a particular font that you would like to see done first?

I'm not particular.  I need some for a bank building, a couple of restaurants (a set in Chinese-looking font would be wonderful, too, but I can adapt), an office building, and a Sunkist oranges warehouse.  I'd also give a lot for some as small as 1/8".  I'm not going to hold my breath for those, though.

1/8" may be a bit small, but we'll work our way there. I did an outline of the state of New York for a weather vane in 1/16" = 1'-0" scale last year and it looked pretty cool in micro-miniature.

I'll take a crack at smaller fonts tonight. Please give me a little feedback:

Is the distribution of letters satisfactory? 

Is the number of letters in the set satisfactory?

You can see the typical letter distribution in one of the pictures in each of the listings of the 48 sizes.

I presume that you will still want them to "peal and stick". They will be much easier to apply, in my opinion.

Here's the update from last night's letter size trials.

The top line is the original letters that I have been selling for a while and using on my buildings- nominally .500" tall.

The second and third lines show the smaller sizes that worked last night, resulting in 1/4" and 3/16" high (nominally) letters. I will massage the heights to be more spot-on.

Anything smaller becomes almost too time consuming to set up and retrieve out of the laser cutter. The letters also move about the bed (a fraction) as they are cut and result in uneven cuts. In other words, it works, but would take two or three times the time to set up and remove from the bed.

Distributinn is good, number od letters is good, and "peel and stick" would be great.

So far you're doing just what is needed.

Sent you my first order just now.  Let's see what you have and there will likely be more.

Thanks for the first TAML/OGR Forum/Wix website order! The letters will be in tomorrow's USPS. I'll also add in the test pieces for two smaller letter sizes that I will be selling (nominally 1/4" and 3/16" high). Please let me know how they work for you.

I mount them on a paint stick with double-sided tape. Then a light spray of Krylon gray primer. I have had good luck then using Krylon flat black, bronze and dull aluminum. Letters are then peal and stick. I use a piece of strip styrene as a "base" to align the letters as each one is pealed and stuck on. A good pair of jeweler's tweezers is best for handling and placement.

Thanks, Doug.  I'm looking forward to using those.  I'll see if I can get my computer to send pics, but don't count on it.  I think I used too poor a grade of kerosene and the wick won't stay lit.

I have added a couple of trackside warehouse shadowboxes to the website. They are the original design Union Pacific 2-Story Trackside Warehouse. A single 12" and two 24" longs sets are available to ship right away. This particular model has been made as long as 60" using 5 interlocking 12" sections. Send me an email if your are interested in other lengths. We are currently in production of the 3-story version and 4-story with loading dock versions. Look for them to be available early next week.

Is there some special requirement of your website?  I find only a couple items on it, most of the pages are blank.

3rd Time's a Charm !

I took me 3 visits to your website to find all the offerings. As others have mentioned it was difficult to navigate. If one selects O Scale Model Railroad Structures I expected to see all of your structures. Only saw couple of pictures of the cement warehouse. After going back to this OGR posting I saw additional pictures of buildings. I finally "found" them in the Shop section.

Having found them I was really impressed with all you have to offer already and great information and descriptions. I had to order one right away. Got one of the Trackside Warehouses.

The actual ordering process was easy and went smoothly, nice.

Probably could eliminate the O Scale Model Railroad Structures link or it has to be hyperlinked to the Shop page.

Looking forward to my layout addition from Todd Architectural Models.

Now that I "found" them will be back for more.

Got my first structure and it is great !  I really like the fact that you have made back removable and there is room for detail and background pictures. Also providing cutouts for lights and even "floor" dividers. I am very impressed with Todd Architectural shadow box structures. Looking forward to more of your offerings.  

Also impressed with the care of the packaging for shipment. Building arrived safe and sound in less than a week after order. All I have to do is place it out layout.

I just took quick picture , will place it permanently in my west yard and scenic the area around later today.

Thanks for the kind words!  The holes in the corners of the floors and ceilings are designed for a standard piece of .312" square styrene tube from Evergreen Scale Models. The tube would get slotted between the floor and ceiling levels, and would then act (and look) like a chase for the wires.

That's what I was thinking was going on! The days are getting shorter as we head into the Fall season so maybe we'll see a bit more shadowbox commerce in the coming months.

I met someone from the Detroit area at my first York- coming up on two years ago this October. He expressed interest in a model and/or kit of the old Packard manufacturing building, in modular format like our other shadowboxes. I reached out to the developer's office and the original architect, but have gotten the cold shoulder on getting original design documents. Do you and your fellow Detroit-area O scalers have interest in this project?

Google image search will yield some halfway decent Albert Kahn elevation drawings.
