Several people already guessed it since Trains Magazine beat the VMT to the punch. At 6:11 this morning there was a press release announcing the return of the N&W Class J #611 to Roanoke ready for excursion service. There is a complete schedule on line at:

Not quite true. Ray Kroc, a milk shake mixer salesman, bought the McDonald brothers hamburger stands and turned them into a chain.

I was shown Ray Crock's office at McDonalds HQ, which is untouched since the day he died. McDonalds tends to "embellish" their "founding father" a bit.

Scott  is switching to Z scale so he can smuggle 10 locomotives at a time into the house.

That's a thought--it does have an advantage.

Is it a very late April fools joke?

Nope-no joke--a serious announcement.

Scott's Wife is selling his entire train collection at York at 70% off list prices.

If that was happening I wouldn't announce it. She would.

that your not going to post on here anymore?-jim

Sorry to disappoint-the announcement has nothing to do with my personal life. There are at least 3 forum members that know what is going on.
