I need information and help for my ES44 (# 20-20277-2): I recently bought a DIGITRAX Zephir DCS51 to run my engine; bad surprise: the sounds are very very loud and I don't manage to lower them! it's like I had my ears against speakers!

I have read the operator's manual and made two attempts: first, the screw inside the shell has no effect; second step, the F6 key: I read this in the manual:

"Master Volume
F6 – Master Volume. There are 10 volume levels. Pressing F6 twice (toggling on then
off) raises the Master Volume one level. The Master Volume loops. That is, if you go
past the 10th level it will loop back around to the 1st or lowest volume level."

But I have not these 10 levels; only one lower and one louder when I toggle on and off the F6 key and no more! that means: nothing changes or next to nothing!

As I am a beginner in DCC, I don't know how to do to have decent and realist sounds; however, all the functions are ok but too too loud!

Have I to reset the decoder, to modify CV? things I have never done! I have no idea anymore!

I hope you can help me and I thank you in advance.
