I have used Scalecoat II loco black before.  Let the paint flow to the chip edges and form its own boundaries that way instead of painting over.

I know Scalecoat II is plastic compatible and the 2037 is cast, where Scalecoat I is only metal and wood.  I had Scalecoat II on hand and it worked, I could only assume Scalecoat I would match the same.

Thank you guys. I.m recently getting back into my old set and really enjoying it. Maybe you could lend some more advice.

My local train and hobby has gone out of business and local train shows canceled. Looking for a web vendor with a shopping cart possibly.

Stuff like the paint, engine brushes, light lense , whistle spring, odds and ends, a new smoker would be nice.

Is there a vendor you could recommend to me?

Thank you kindly
