Is it possible to mount a small video camera on the train, or put it in car, and have it send the video feed wirelessly to a monitor of some sort? I'm not a major computer type of person, but I was wondering if the technology exists to do this sort of thing simply. Anybody have any input here? Thanks.

I have the one from Nitro Planes, the other one is the same camera for a lot more money. You have to rig your own power, but I can do a lot of wiring and the like for the difference between $26 and $495!

Oh ya, some wire and perhaps a heat sink.
Looks like about $2.00 to $10.00 in parts depending on your source.
And I'd bet I have all of them in the scrounge bin.
Oh, ya, remember to mount so the antenna is protruding from the Shell if mounting in a Die Cast engine.
The Lionel one was B/W, not color and the video quality was pretty low.
There was a thread on this forum a few years back on using a $5.00 keychain camera and folks posted the results. Seemed like it worked pretty well and the cost was very low.
If you just want to mount it on the train and record the view, that works fine. However, if you'd like a cab eye view on a TV or computer, you need something that sends the signal wirelessly to allow you to pick it up.
