I've been following that show, and there's a thread on it:
I went to a show in Dupo, IL (across the river from St. Louis) last week, April 10. Good times.
went to the show in Green Bay today. It was good. Masks mandatory. Lots of HO, low on O. Low on postwar. Insanely high asking prices on what postwar I saw, but it was the 1st day. I did score a few pieces though. It was good to get out. Looked to be a good turnout.
I too was in Green Bay today. If you are an ho or n guy, you were in luck. O scale very low inventory. I was a bit disappointed, only managed to pick up a book that I have been looking for. Overall, nice to get out and look around.
I believe MR. Muffin's trains is having a outdoor show on 4/24/2021. Atlanta, Indiana.
The next "political" comment or even one that tries to make a political statement will not only be deleted but the poster will take a vacation from the forum. I don't enjoy having to spend an entire weekend getting tons of alerts from members and the forum software when you guys know better about those kinds of statements.
Several of you will be receiving emails as "reminders".
Mr muffins in Atlanta IN is on April 24 with the added benefit of the opportunity to see his fabulous layout!
Thanks Alan, suspension from the forum should become standard practice whenever these types of comments are made and maybe these people would learn their lesson. It would also save the moderators a lot of wasted time.
I have been informed that the Evansville, IN twice annual show has been discontinued. Not just this spring and fall, but permanently. Sad. It seemed to me to be well attended and a good show. Lots of work, though, and none of us is getting any younger.
Alan,
A serious thank you from me too. I get so tired of folks putting their snarky political comments in replies on a TRAIN forum. Yes, we can all just delete them ourselves or try to ignore them but they shouldn't be there to begin with. A thankless job I'm sure.

Earlier today the Midwest Division TCA held a parking lot meet that was by all accounts, a pretty good turnout. The Chicago area was scheduled for rain earlier in the week, but the weather turned out fantastic. My guess is the attendance was about 60 people and my feeling is that the next few meets will be even better as word gets out. Honestly, we were just testing the waters to gauge demand and interest. Of course the show and meets are only as good as the people that attend, and I am looking forward to the next meet. Even got a few trains running which will fur sure increase in the next meet.
Since we had the whole parking lot to ourselves, there was plenty of space to distance plus its not such a bad thing to actually go out and walk around.
