The next "political" comment or even one that tries to make a political statement will not only be deleted but the poster will take a vacation from the forum.  I don't enjoy having to spend an entire weekend getting tons of alerts from members and the forum software when you guys know better about those kinds of statements.

Several of you will be receiving emails as "reminders".

Earlier today the Midwest Division TCA held a parking lot meet that was by all accounts, a pretty good turnout. The Chicago area was scheduled for rain earlier in the week, but the weather turned out fantastic. My guess is the attendance was about 60 people and my feeling is that the next few meets will be even better as word gets out. Honestly, we were just testing the waters to gauge demand and interest. Of course the show and meets are only as good as the people that attend, and I am looking forward to the next meet. Even got a few trains running which will fur sure increase in the next meet.

Since we had the whole parking lot to ourselves, there was plenty of space to distance plus its not such a bad thing to actually go out and walk around.

Charlie, Was this open to the public or just for TCA members?  Where was it? When is the next one scheduled?  This is the first I heard about it.  Next Sunday has one in St. Charles.  John in Lansing, ILL

The GATS site for the Wheaton show says they’ll return “this summer”. I read somewhere, but now can’t find it, that they’ll have a big announcement in mid-April.

Sam,  The big announcement may be that Randy is no longer associated with them, he is in another field.  Their website indicates the next Wheaton show is on August 8.  John

Hey John:

Details are still being worked out for the next meet. This was the first one of the year and very sure there will be one next month. Not really closed to the public, but notices were just sent to the contacts we had on file and facebook page. Hopefully someone will chime in with more, detailed information in the next few days.

What is the "St. Charles" show next weekend? I had not heard anything about a show there. Thanks.

Yes Charlie, please keep us posted on the next TCA meet. First I’ve heard of it too.
