SNOW 1

SIRT,  Fabulous! I am so happy to see these scenes of yours again. I saw them some time ago and had wished I had saved every picture, but had not. So seeing these perfect wintery scenes by you again is a joy and a real (pun intended) treat! Fabulous, indeed!

Fabulous work weathering and detailing.

Thank you very much, Bob!

Joe,

I would love to see more of your layout.  Can you post some additional photos?

Thanks,

Bob

Ha!  I’m very flattered Bob, but I don’t have a layout...at least not one that’s worth showing!  What you see in my photos is a diorama that I built to display/photograph my trains and weathering work.  I’ve never had enough space for a layout until recently when we put an addition on our home.  I finally have a new train room and will be building a layout at some point in the not too distant future...or so I hope!

Joe, if you don't have space for a layout, what better way to be creative and enjoy the trains than to make dioramas as you have done!

Joe,

If you do plan on building a layout, I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing your work.  Your diorama work is top notch.

The monuments at Yankee Stadium in October, 1956:

Deep looks like a tough area to play!

It was deep. Most exciting play in baseball used to happen out there: the inside the park homerun. Mantle would hit 450 foot blasts out there that would rattle around the monuments in the field of play while he raced around the bases with his blazing speed.

I bet that was something to see. Took a friend to her very first "South Side" game ever in 2016, last game of the season. First pitch was an inside the park home run. She loved the modern Women's rest rooms, ease of entry and exit, the spacious concourses, real parking lots, and that they lost!
