Well, since Thurday is my day off, I decided to  take a walk around "Small Town" on the Leonardtown and Savannah and see what was happening.  Before that however, jackiejr that was a really neat effect showing the barn roof with some of the shingles coming off, looks like a lot of barns that I see.  Great job...and sidehack - the Mexican grocery was really neat and unique, great modeling both.

Well here is what I spotted on the L&S today.

The fellows in the switch tower have started decorating for Christmas, first thing up is the giant snow man.

As usual the traffic at McDonald's is heavy.  Someone just got a brand new '53 Chevy Belaire convertible.

The kids in McDonald's Parking lot are being entertained by a few Raccoons in the garbage. the manager is not going to like cleaning up this mess!

The commuter / shopping crowd is waiting for the train to take them to the City

The commuter platform is on the one side of a small stream and the "drummer's" (salesmen) hotel is on the other.  Staying here in Small Town is popular with the sales crowd as the rates are much lower than in the city.  So the town erected this footbridge to connect the hotel and the platform.

Happy Thursday everyone

Oooh, I love taking close-up pics around my layouts! I like to call mine, "Life on the Layout". Glad to find this thread. Goodie goodie. Here are a few taken recently to get me started adding to this thread:

In this trio of pics- these are all Aristo-Craft #1gauge peeps. I love the high detail and variety of these for use on my Standard Gauge Layouts. Some I've repainted to suit my fancy. ALL of my A-C peeps I spray with a Testors gloss coat to make them blend in more with my other peeps.

1) At one of the stations while waiting for their train to come in; in the parking lot sits Granma KNITTING while talking to her granddaughter Molly (her twin sister Mitsy is seated at the Circus at present), who brought her book to read for the wait, and dad Mr. Greenfeld in the front seat has already pulled out the Samsonite luggage from the trunk.

2) A wistful young Judy Garland (hey, I'm in Kansas) sitting on the bannister of the 129B terrace watching the trains and people go by at the 116 station and the Pride Lines Passenger shed.

3) Over at the 840 Power Station, secretary Miss Effie More is discussing tomorrow's upcoming work load with her boss Mr. Townsend, as they are ready to now head home for the day:
