OK.., so I'm in the trailer business and sell trailers of several different types including cargo trailers. I have a large 9 day show that I go to each year to promote my product. I generally take about 25 trailers to this show. Well.., about a month before this show started this fall I thought it would be neat to take a train in a trailer just to drum up traffic to my booth. So I ordered this 7'x 14' cargo trailer with a large vendor door on each side and with outlets and lights inside. I had a 4'x 8' train table that I put together about a year ago just for fun to display a "toy like" layout but never had a chance to display it anywhere. So I took that small layout and put it in the trailer and took it along to the trade show and displayed it in the front of my outdoor display area. Boy.., did that get traffic. Following are several photos of the display and scenes that took place all day long. We also have a farm within a few miles of our town that is known as Pumpkinland as they sell thousands of pumpkins and crafts, baked goods, etc.., and have corn mazes and a petting zoo that attracts thousands of people each year, especially young families. So I approached the owner about adding this trailer to their display for a week or so and the response has been fantastic. The last photo was taken there and you can see the expression on the young boys face that he was indeed enjoying the display. Make sure you double click on the last photo to enlarge it to get the full expression of this young man. This photo was taken by the owner of Pumpkinland and was posted on their Facebook page for promotion.

Just my little way of promoting our hobby.

Boy, that's terrific! The little boy's expression in the last photo says it all. THANK YOU!

During the TCA Convention in Sacramento last year, a member brought a 1954 VW "Barn Door" bus with layouts inside. He got a LOT of attention! I'll post some photos. Feel free to download them and print them and show them to visitors.

My wife, Beverly, took this photo from our bedroom window on Amtrak's eastbound CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR (No. 6) in western Colorado on our way home from the TCA Convention.

At the Timonium, MD shows I have seen two custom-built "trailer" layouts.  One was a custom trailer that housed a HO circus layout.  It was really, really neat.

Another wasn't really a trailer, per se, but a gorgeous custom-built circus wagon that again had  circus layout, but I think had a G-gauge circus train going around the top and a lot more going on.  And I'm sure they just wheeled the wagon into an enclosed trailer to move it around.

I wish I had taken pics of both because they were really neat and got me thinking about doing something similar to take around to Children's hospitals, etc.  But the setup would take forever since nothing even fastened down with glue would stay that way for long going down the road.
