Beautiful observation. Trains are truly part of the magic of Christmas. I was 62 when I had my open heart surgery and it was a lot to handle - I have trouble imagining what it will be like for Grant, his parents, and you at such a young age. May God hold you all in the palm of his hand through these difficult times.

Thanks for sharing those precious moments with kids and trains at Christmas. The newborn of members of our church recently had open heart surgery shortly after birth.  Before birth, it was known that major arteries were reversed.  Completely successful. Amazing what surgeries can be done with children.  Prayers and blessings to Grant for a successful surgery and recovery.

Last year a friend talked to me for hours about his two-year-old grandson who needed surgery and chemotherapy for a tumor near his spine.  All went and is going well. Grant can be the third success story in this thread. Please do keep us informed, and we will keep Grant in our hearts and prayers.
